Ariel Sharee Backstrom is a special young lady, loved by her parents, family, and friends.
As a sophomore at Northridge High School in Tuscaloosa, AL,
where she enjoyed being a majorette, taking Honors and AP classes while
attending The University of Alabama in the Early College program.
Before her departure she joined Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) with the
goal of becoming an obstetrician. Ariel was born on February 06, 2000 in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Pine Forest School of the Arts in Jacksonville, FL, Greenwood Christian School in
Greenwood, SC and as a member of the Lakewood Church in Houston, TX, she
was a devoted part of the children’s ministry and choir.
Ariel was a part of the Jaguar volleyball team at Rock Quarry Middle School and the Southern Strutters
Twirl Team in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in addition she was also interested in swimming, cooking, singing, and various arts & crafts.
To me and many others, her most memorable characteristics included: Her warm heart that expressed so much love and kindness, her big, beautiful smile, and her deeply expressive eyes.
Ariel, in so many different ways, will forever be remembered for her friendly demeanor, and by her
huge heart that touched many lives.
She was truly a ray of sunshine.
